GOLD FOR KEENEY

Maddison Keeney has claimed Gold in the Women's 3 metre springboard final at the ADGP 1 in Melbourne this morning. Keeney finished with a total dive score of 357.80, just edging out Esther Qin (NSW) by 7.70 points. Tamara Irvine also competed, finishing 12th with a total dive score of 172.90.

GOLD FOR WILLIAMSON

An incredible finish to the women's platform synchro final at the 2015 ADGP 1 in Melbourne, with WA's Teju Williamson and SA's Taneka Kovchenko holding out NSW's Melissa Wu and Qld's Brittany Broben by just 0.12 of a point!

Diving WA held its last event of 2015, with the Christmas Invitational on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December. The event was also followed by the End of Year Splash BBQ, with a special appearance by Santa.

WA Athletes preparing for Diving Australia Grand Prixs

WA's 4 WAIS athletes Tamara Irvine, Teju WIlliamson, Nikita Hains and Alex Smedley have arrived in Melbourne ahead of the Diving Australia Grand Prix Events being held on the 6th-7th Dec (ADGP 1) and 12-13th December (ADGP 2).

Pacific School Games - Day 7 and wrap up

This once again was a highlight of the week where the divers had to dive in a 4 member synchro team. Each diver had to dive with each team member and saw the divers have a lot of fun as expected. The great news is that Sophie Debenham and her team won a gold medal. Unfortunately Sally Cream came 4th once again with her team. Which makes Sally extremely unlucky at the games with three 4th places.

Pacific School Games - Day 5 and 6 updates

Thursday saw 4 of our divers competing and the highlight for the WA team was Sam Tulk's performance in the 3m winning bronze against 2 very strong divers. First up was Sally Cream and Jessica Ranieri in the 1m. Sally performed well and finished 4th after the top 3 elite girls. Jessica had a difficult day coming 14th. Caroline Pedley dived in the 14 yrs girls 1m coming 15th. Caroline's shoulder has been an issue this week and with limited training has done well.

Pacific School Games - TULK TAKES BRONZE

Following Jack Reynolds Bronze medal performance in the Boys 10yrs 3m springboard on Tuesday, Sam Tulk has claimed WA's second diving medal at the Pacific School Games, winning Bronze in the Boys 12yrs 3m springboard.

Wednesday saw 5 of our divers competing. Highlights were Sophie Debenham, girls 13-14 Synchro. Sophie Did a great job in the 16 yrs girls 1m coming 7th showing the field and judges her potential.

Holiday Splash - January Holiday Program - ENROLL NOW!

Diving WAâ€™s NEW Holiday Splash Program is an introduction to diving in a fun and safe environment, supervised by trained coaches. Kids will combine elements of trampolining, gymnastics, tumbling, swimming and acrobatics, in wet and dry training to give them the full diving experience. Pacific School Games - Day 3 update - BRONZE FOR REYNOLDS

Day 3 of competition saw 6 of our divers competing. The outstanding performance of the day was Jack Reynolds in the 3m winning bronze. He started off strong and finished well. We are very excited to have a medal in the diving and from one of our youngest athletes.

2015 DWA Annual Awards

On Saturday 14th November Diving WA held their Annual Awards night at the Cambridge Bowling Club in Floreat. The night was a chance to recognise all of the Diving WA members, State and National Representatives, Champions and Perpetual Trophy winners.

Diving WA held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 17th October at the Department of Sport and Recreation head Office at 3pm. This was the first AGM held under the new governance structure, which saw members voting directly for the first time.
