Qualifications: DA Level 2 Coach, Diving Coach Diploma 1st Grade (Turkey), and Diving Coach Certificate 3rd Grade (Iran)

About me: I was born in 1986 in Tehran, Iran, and have been involved in diving for 20 years. I started coaching in 2007 and worked as a diving coach in many roles including Head coach, Technical Assistant, Trainer, Coach assistant, and diving committee member, in different levels and age groups up to Nationals in Iran. I worked as a talent ID scout for the Iran Diving and Swimming Federation in 2013. I migrated to Turkey in 2014 where I coached in Ankara and coached seven divers from basic competency to achieve national level competency. They were awarded medals in LEN competitions: Sweden 2018, Madrid 2018, Balkan Junior Diving 2017, and Sweden 2017. I then migrated to Australia in May 2019.

I enjoy coaching Diving and always look for ways to improve my knowledge and grow as a coach.

Whitney Michael was born in St. Paul Minnesota in the United States.  She began diving at the age of 7 and has been actively involved in the sport ever since.  She competed at a State and National level and trained under 5-time Olympic Coach Dick Kimball while attending and competing for the University of Michigan.  Once she finished her diving career at age 22, she began her coaching journey, working with age-group and developing divers for over 20 years.  She met her husband Tommy Michael through diving and for 13 years they caoched very successful club diving programs in Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin.  Whitney and Tommy moved to Melbourne Australia in 2011, and for the past 11 years Whitney served as the Programs and Competition Coordinator for Diving Victoria.  Whilst she loved staying involved in the sport in an administrative role, it did take her away from coaching.  After a recent move to Perth in February, she has happily returned to coaching.
