WA Dive Series

The WA Dive Series is Western Australia’s premier diving Event pathway. A season long celebration of skill, growth and community! From first time Learn to Dive participants to seasoned open competitors, the Series connects divers of all ages and abilities in a safe, fair and welcoming environment. More than just competition, it’s a showcase of WA’s diving talent and a launchpad for athletes, coaches, judges and volunteers to develop and thrive, all inspired by Diving WA’s core values of Respect, Empowerment and Excellence.

Events

  • Warrilow–Sproule Round (December)

  • DWA Age Championships (March)

  • DWA Open Championships (March)

  • Sponsorship Round (May)

  • Dive Series Championships (June)

Event Format

The Series includes:

  • Learn to Dive Challenge - introductory competition days

  • State Skills Events - a bridge into event diving

  • Events aligned with Diving Australia qualification requirements

    • Age Events: 1m, 3m, Platform & Synchro (11/U, 12/13, 14/15, 16–18 & Masters)

    • Junior Events: 1m, 3m, Platform & Synchro (Junior A, B, C & D)

    • Open Events: 1m, 3m, Platform & Synchro

  • Specialty Events as designated for individual weekends

Championship Qualification & Points

All events within the WA Dive Series contribute to a diver’s overall points total and qualification for the WA Dive Series Championship, held at the conclusion of the Series. The four divers with the highest cumulative points in each category (Age, Junior and Open) and within each age group will qualify for the Championship and compete on their preferred board to be crowded Series Champion. Points per event:

  • 1st = 10 points
  • 2nd = 7 points
  • 3rd = 5 points
  • 4th = 3 points
  • All other competitors = 1 points

How To Enter

All competitors must hold a current Diving WA membership before entering.

  • Competitive Membership is required for all events except participation-level events.

  • Learn to Dive events require a Learn to Dive Membership.

Entry Fees are published with each event’s registration and vary by event level. Entries are sumbited via the Diving WA portal before the published closing date. Late entries may be accepted at DWA’s discretion and may incur a late fee.
