DWA welcomes new Executive Officer

Published Mon 05 May 2025

Diving WA is delighted to announce the appointment of Sean Andrews as our new Executive Officer.

Sean is a dynamic and accomplished leader whose diverse background spans business management, finance, and the sport and recreation sector. He holds a degree in Human Movement Science with a major in Management from Central Queensland University and began his career in the corporate sector, where he excelled in senior roles focused on strategic leadership, team development, stakeholder engagement, and high-pressure decision-making.

Bringing this experience into the sport and recreation industry, Sean has spent the past five years at Volleyball WA, where his passion for sport and community development delivered measurable outcomes. He led significant participation growth, championed community and stakeholder engagement, secured funding, advocated for improved facilities, and fostered strong partnerships across government and the private sector.

A committed volunteer and volleyball coach, Sean has also made an extraordinary impact at the grassroots level. As President of Southern Cross Volleyball Club, he grew membership considerably during a two year tender. He continues to coach at both State and National Development levels, recently supporting an Australian U18 squad on an international tour to Thailand.

Sean's unique blend of commercial acumen, leadership experience, and deep understanding of sport from grassroots through to high performance makes him a valuable addition to Diving WA. We are excited to have him on board as we continue to grow our sport and strengthen its impact in communities across Western Australia.

Please join us in welcoming Sean,
