Nikita Hains – Development Coach

An Olympian and proud product of Western Australian diving, Nikita Hains brings world class experience, deep technical knowledge and a genuine commitment to athlete development to her role as Development Coach at Diving WA. Beginning her journey as a young diver within the WA system, Nikita progressed through the national pathway to become one of Australia’s leading platform athletes, representing the country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and achieving podium success on the international stage.

Nikita’s competitive career is marked by her precision on platform, strong work ethic and exceptional mental discipline, qualities that took her from her early days in WA programs to the elite environment of the Australian National Team. Her experience includes World Cup representation, national titles and international medals, giving her a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to thrive in high performance settings. This background now informs her coaching, where she draws on her lived experience to guide emerging athletes with authenticity and insight.

In her role as Development Coach, Nikita plays a pivotal part in strengthening the bridge between participation and performance within the state pathway. She works closely with aspiring divers as they transition into higher level training environments, focusing on building strong technical foundations, developing safe and progressive skill acquisition, and fostering confidence in young athletes. Her coaching style blends technical precision with empathy, positive reinforcement and an athlete centred approach.
